I am totally serious when I say I don't deliberately do the pages with little or no backgrounds. This is also the first time I've drawn in MONTHS, so hopefully this meets with the approving eyes of the readers of Crossoverlord.
"As it happens, Darkbringer is once again referencing the events of my comic, wherein he's defeated by Lightbringer after he draws light from the friggin' sun and fires it in a concentrated burst to knock him down. Yeah, fighting Darkbringer isn't fun.
Let us not forget that the storyline that eventually became the CROSSOVERLORD was originally Lewis' idea---even if he only envisioned it lasting 30 pages or so.
Lewis has often disparaged his own art, but his layouts are usually very good, and his dialogue is VERY good...I especially like LB's inner monologue.
He hasn't done his own art in months, yet the LIGHTBRINGER has been updating weekly for the last few weeks, under some excellent new art by http://chadrocco.deviantart.com/ ! Go and click on the Lightbringer link above and check it out! --Al
